Many in Maj'Eyal have heard of "demons", sadistic creatures who appear seemingly from nowhere, leaving a trail of suffering and destruction whereever they go. Their Fearscape floats far above the skies, watching and waiting, but not idly; their agents scout the land, their legions build up their forces, and their scholars develop new spells and strategies. As the barrier between our worlds begins to crack under their scrutiny, helpless Eyalites have begun to disappear, whisked up to serve as their slaves and playthings. They imbue these victims with magical powers to better survive the ensuing stresses - can you use your new-found abilities to escape the legions of Mal'Rok?

Out of the many great games of 2022, one of the most underrated is Escape Academy. The game manages to pull off feeling like a real-life escape room that requires you to solve challenging puzzles and work with a friend. Developer Coin Crew Games has just released the first DLC for the game, Escape from Anti-Escape Island, which sends you on a summer vacation gone wrong. But if you think you mastered the base game, then this DLC will be a wake-up call in the best way possible.
Upon downloading the DLC and starting the game I launched into the first new room. I was on a plane with the headmaster of my school and a fellow classmate. Our summer vacation was supposed to be relaxing but our plane was hit by a missile and we were now plummeting. Within minutes I found myself against a wall with no idea how to move forward. I needed a hint.
However, the school has a rival, the anti-escape scientists. These logic-loving people despise your escape artist ways. While the base game never dives fully into this conflict, the new DLC sends you directly into enemy territory.
At the head of the Anti-Escapists is Doctor Liz Nemeth, who is a charming megalomaniac to watch monologue. The Island you happen to crash land on is the headquarters of your enemies, and each escape room sends you through a varied list of locations that meld the evil scientist aesthetic with tropical summer vacation. A highlight is the juice bar level which is filled with festive decorations as well as anti-escape posters and slogans.
The party stays in Pelegion for a few months to help the town get back onto its feet and also figure out, what to do next. Suddenly, a massive structure is launched from Rena to Dahna, and it begins to draw astral energy and transfer it to Rena through Lenegis. They travel to the structure and manage to shut it down. There, they make their first contact with Dahna's Will, the sentience of Dahna's astral energy when enough of it concentrates. After this, Alphen decides they travel to Lenegis, but there's no ship for them to use, until Rinwell points out that Alphen must have used a ship to escape from Lenegis three centuries ago. Glimpsing to his memories, he does recall a site where he supposedly landed, and the party travel there.
Resident Evil 7 Bedroom DLC is one of three episodes in Banned Footage Vol 1, offering an additional video tape scenario featuring our favourite cameraman Clancy in a room escape-style scenario to solve with Marguerite.
Time to escape. Quickly investigate the clock by the bed to once again move the bed and open a way to the door, and use the Snake Key (use it on the left side, when the prompt appears) and jump in. Head down the steps to finish the chapter.
Before the DLC will actually trigger you have to manually install it from your platform's storefront. For example on PS4, you have to go to the PlayStation Store, search for Assassin's Creed Odyssey, press down until you get to the Add-Ons section, and then download the Episode separately.
Then, after you've downloaded it, you'll receive a message in-game from Darius to meet him back at your house in Dyme in the far west of Achaia. You first objective is to "Kill the boars around Dyme" in a quest called "The Simple Life".

One month before the arrival of the Aurora, Khlebnikov visits an abandoned satellite control center in the ruins of Novosibirsk. From his conversations with Vinogradov, he knows that there should be maps showing radiation levels in Russia and that the area around Lake Baikal might be radiation-free. If that proves to be true, Khlebnikov and his son could leave the irradiated city and find a new home. The facility is very dangerous as despite being underground, its nuclear reactor is damaged, filling the control center with very high levels of radiation even for Novosibirsk. This also causes power shortages, so Khlebnikov is slowed down several times by malfunctioning doors and other systems. The facility is also inhabited by mutants, mainly the nosalis. When Khlebnikov gets close to the map depository, a blind one appears and attacks him. Khlebnikov escapes the blind one through an elevator shaft, letting his flamethrower's tank explode beforehand to stun or possibly kill it. Khlebnikov arrives at the depository, finds the map he was looking for and proceeds further, but the radiation is so high that he starts to feel sick and has to slow down. Furthermore, the blind one appears again. Khlebnikov is able to outrun it and prepares to inject his last Radioprotector to counteract the radiation sickness, but the blind one grabs his leg through a reinforced door and makes him drop the injector. Khlebnikov disengages the door's manual control, severing the blind one's arm and breaking free, but then he finds out that the vial with Radioprotector was broken by the impact so there is no way for him to survive the radiation exposure for much longer. He starts to lose consciousness and sits on a chair where he faints and eventually passes away.
